Our Attorneys
Elizabeth Goss
CEO
Elizabeth Goss is the CEO of The Law Office of Goss and Associates, LLC. She is admitted to practice in the state bars of Massachusetts and New York and in Federal Court.
An experienced immigration attorney with nearly three decades working in the field of immigration, Elizabeth is nationally and internationally recognized for her legal representation to multinational corporations, entrepreneurial ventures, universities, and research institutions.
Elizabeth specializes in securing temporary and permanent visas for physicians, researchers, professors, and artists under the extraordinary ability, outstanding researcher, and national interest waiver categories. She is one of only a few attorneys nationwide that has obtained an international entrepreneur parole visa for start-ups as noted by Forbes, see article.
She held several national leadership positions in both the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and NAFSA: Association of International Educators (NAFSA).
A skilled writer, Elizabeth is a contributor to prominent law publications including AILA, MCLE, and NAFSA professional publications. Elizabeth is also a frequent guest lecturer at universities on obtaining work permits and permanent residence for international scholars and students. She is frequently quoted on a variety of immigration topics by the media including Politico, The New York Times, Forbes, The Boston Globe, and others.
Amanda Quinn
Amanda practices exclusively in employment-based immigration law, representing a diverse portfolio of clients on issues related to the employment of foreign nationals in the U.S. on both a temporary and permanent basis. Amanda has significant experience advising corporate and institutional clients on pre-transaction and post-transaction immigration strategy related to corporate reorganization. Amanda develops large-scale immigration programs focused on compliance, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Prior to joining Goss Associates, Amanda managed large volume H-1B petition filings and PERM compliance with Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP in their Boston office.
Amanda received her JD from Suffolk University Law School. Previously, she obtained a B.A. from Fairfield University.
Dena Neese
SENIOR ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Dena possesses deep experience working on employment-immigration issues that impact institutions of higher education and their research and teaching faculty.
For thirteen years, she managed employment-based immigration sponsorship programs in-house for two large research universities. As a result, she has developed a strong understanding of the structure and organization of decentralized universities, academic and non-academic position types, and various university immigration sponsorship models.
She has also worked as a private-sector attorney, managing employment-based immigration sponsorship programs for corporate clients, and representing universities and researchers/faculty in their immigration matters.
She has presented and trained extensively within NAFSA, the Association of International Educators, and presently serves as International Scholar Advising Network Leader on the ISSS Leadership Team.

Megan Nicholson
Megan was raised in Fulton, New York and graduated from Colgate University with a double major in history and English, and is currently a part-time student at Suffolk University Law School. Growing up with multiple role models in legal services positions, joining the legal field seemed natural to Megan. Prior to her work at Goss Associates, Megan served as a Special Collections assistant at the university’s archives, while also performing her own archival research in partnership with the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Outside of the office, Megan enjoys running, reading and stand-up comedy shows.
Jonas Ruzek
LEGAL COORDINATOR
Jonas was born in Framingham, Massachusetts to Czech immigrant parents. He attained a bachelor’s degree in journalism, with a minor in law, from Northeastern University. Before joining Goss Associates, Jonas worked in the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, where he advised constituents on their rights, duties, and options under state consumer protections. Earlier, he worked in compliance at Vicor Corporation. There, he researched legal developments around the world, coordinated with management, and drafted policy and instructional documents. Outside the office, Jonas likes to run along the Charles River while listening to law podcasts.
Chung Nguyen
Chung was born in central Vietnam where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in education and later obtained a master’s degree in education from Troy University in the USA. Prior to joining Goss Associates, she worked at the International Support Services Office at Virginia Tech University where she gained experience in the immigration field. Outside the office, she enjoys cooking and traveling.
Laura Rose Bruening
Laura was born and raised in Trumbull, Connecticut before moving to LA for University. She attended Biola University, graduating with a degree in Intercultural Studies, concentrating specifically in International and Community Development. Her passion for immigration and law began as an intern for the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants, helping resettling migrants. Most recently, she spent the summer in Istanbul, Turkey working with Afghan and Syrian refugees. She is passionate about social justice, policy reform, and the plight of refugees worldwide. Outside of the office Laura Rose enjoys hiking, exploring Boston, and spending time with her family.
Yeva Khranovska
Yeva obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy, with a minor in law and public policy, from Northeastern University. She has previously worked as a research assistant on projects ranging from investigating labor trafficking in the US to analyzing the language of jury instructions. Yeva’s interest in immigration law began after volunteering at the Northeastern University Law School immigration clinic where she drafted country condition reports for asylum applications. Outside of the office she enjoys reading and running.

Lisa Marquis
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Lisa is an accomplished management professional with more than 30 years of administration experience optimizing business operations. She is an adept problem solver who employs creativity and innovation to overcome challenging and complex issues. In all areas of business, she is focused and meticulous about client, vendor, and partner relationship management. She brings a passion to achieve both tactical and strategic goals that benefit client and business objectives.
She is a graduate of Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts with a degree in computer technology information systems and business management. As a member of the National Seminar Group, she has presented and received many awards as an exceptional assistant.
Lisa is a longtime resident of Boston’s North end. She spends her free time with family and friends and moonlights as a hostess. Lisa enjoys dining, traveling, sports, laughter and all fun things Boston!
